Help us make this holiday season extra merry.
Dear Friends,
The holiday season at East End Disability Associates (EEDA) is upon us, and we are excited to celebrate and spend time with our family, friends, colleagues, and the entire EEDA community. Through their tireless efforts, our dedicated EEDA staff embody a culture of joy and inclusion in all our holiday celebrations. Many of our staff work on the holidays to ensure everyone feels special at this time of year. Some staff generously volunteer to open their own homes to those for whom celebrating with family is not an option. Their hard work, commitment, and care foster cherished traditions, like singing holiday carols at Riverhead’s tree lighting ceremony or attending a holiday show. These moments bring us together and create lasting memories that highlight the warmth of our community. The people we are privileged to support actively engage in decorating in their homes and day programs, using vibrant colors and lights that make everything look beautiful. They enjoy trips to explore Long Island’s festive holiday attractions, and like most when not shopping for gifts, they love cozying up to watch classic holiday movies while enjoying holiday treats. These activities enhance the holiday spirit and create a sense of togetherness and family. |
For Jaquan, celebrating the holidays means decorating the tree, opening presents and making Christmas cookies. For his housemate, Jakob, it’s all about the season’s decorations, gifts, and spirit. Decorating the tree, building a gingerbread house, or lighting the menorah; the spirits of the holiday are ever present at EEDA. We are immensely grateful for our EEDA celebrations and traditions. As we begin the festive season, we humbly ask, if you are able to give this holiday season, that you can help donate to our holiday fund. Your contribution will directly support these holiday experiences, enriching the lives of so many.
We wish you and your family a healthy and happy holiday season. Sincerely, |
